Thomas’s pheasant man has asked if all walkers can keep to the stone track leading to and from the barns and not venture anywhere else between now and 1 February.  This is to protect us and avoid disturbance to the shoot.  This covers every day as they don’t necessarily stick to the same days each week.  From 1 February next year until shooting starts again we can return to the normal routes.  We’re very lucky to be able to walk on what aren’t actually public footpaths so it would be good if everyone could respect this request.
