BT says it is not viable for them to enable the Leighterton exchange – but all is not lost:

Welcome to Broadband 890xxx, a community initiative to bring broadband to the Leighterton exchange area. The aim is to give residents and businesses in the area a chance to make the most of broadband technology.

It could help you work from home, run a business (provide a backup to a satellite service), educate your children, shop and bank on-line, make travel arrangements or just explore the internet at your leisure.

Questionnaire
Fill in a questionnaire so we can establish how many people are interested in having broadband and what are your specific requirements. Please be realistic in your answers and only submit one instance of the questionnaire for each household/business.

We would like a return for each household/businesses even if you don’t want broadband so we know we have asked everyone. Your local representative will try and call on you to answer any questions you may have. In the meantime, feel free to encourage 890xxx neighbours to fill in the questionnaire.

The more people who join, the lower should be the cost per person!
